Verset du jour: 1 Samuel 17 :25 « Chacun disait: Avez-vous vu s'avancer cet homme? C'est pour jeter à Israël un défi qu'il s'est avancé! Si quelqu'un le tue, le roi le comblera de richesses, il lui donnera sa fille, et il affranchira la maison de son père en Israël »
Il est intéressant de remarquer que malgré que David avait tellement envie de tuer Goliath dans le but d’ôter l’opprobre de dessus Israël, il était quand même intéressé de savoir la récompense réservée à celui qui le tuerait. Le verset dit : « David dit aux hommes qui se trouvaient près de lui: Que fera-t-on à celui qui tuera ce Philistin, et qui ôtera l'opprobre de dessus Israël? Qui est donc ce Philistin, cet incirconcis, pour insulter l'armée du Dieu vivant? » (1 Sam 17 :26).
Le verset du jour (1 Samuel 17 :25) nous montre clairement la récompense promise par le roi pour celui qui tuerait Goliath. Le verset dit que le roi le comblerait de richesses, il lui donnerait sa fille, et il affranchirait la maison de son père en Israël. Trois opportunités étaient sur le plateau : une montagne de richesses, épouser la fille du roi et affranchir la maison de son père en Israël, ce qui veut dire que non seulement celui qui tuerait Goliath serait riche, mais toute sa famille le serait automatiquement par le roi. La promesse était évidemment plus qu’alléchante mais malgré cela, personne n’était capable d’en profiter.
Il est donc important de savoir que derrière chaque géant démon, il y’a une multitude de bénédictions et qu’on n’en aura le libre accès que quand il mourra. Même Jésus en a fait allusion quand il parlait des richesses remplies dans la maison d’un homme fort. Il a dit : « Comment quelqu'un peut-il entrer dans la maison d'un homme fort et piller ses biens, sans avoir auparavant lié cet homme fort? Alors seulement il pillera sa maison » (Matt 12 :29). Ici l’homme fort représente le diable qui garde nos bénédictions et le seul moyen de les avoir est de le lier pour entrer dans sa maison et piller ses biens qui sont en réalité nos biens. Le lier et une bonne chose mais en plus de le lier, je préfère couper sa tête comme l’a fait David. Le diable doit être frappé et vaincu jusqu'à ce qu’il s’éloigne de nous comme c’est écrit dans Jacques 4 :7 « Soumettez-vous donc à Dieu; résistez au diable, et il fuira loin de vous »
Comme je le dis souvent, la plupart des chrétiens sont passifs mais il y’a une chose que tu ne dois pas ignorer : Si tu ne résistes pas au diable, il saura comment pénétrer dans ta vie et tu seras privé de plusieurs bénédictions qui te sont destinées. Il faut néanmoins tenir compte du fait que cela peut prendre du temps pour y arriver.

You can defeat the giant of your life (Part 4)
Verse of the day: 1 Samuel 17: 25 " So the men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel; and it shall be that the man who kills him the king will enrich with great riches, will give him his daughter, and give his father’s house exemption from taxes in Israel "
It is interesting to notice that although David was so eager to kill Goliath in order to take away the reproach from Israel, he was still interested in knowing the reward reserved for those who would kill him. The verse says: "Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? "(1 Sam 17: 26).
The verse of the day (1 Samuel 17: 25) clearly shows us the reward promised by the king for the person who would kill Goliath. The verse says that the king would enrich him with great riches, he would give him his daughter and would give his father’s house exemption from taxes in Israel. Three opportunities were on the table: a mountain of wealth, marrying the daughter of the king and setting free the house of his father in Israel, which means that not only the one who would kill Goliath would be rich, but all his family would automatically be so by the king. The promise was obviously more than attractive but despite this, no one was able to take advantage of it.
It is therefore important to know that behind every giant demon, there is a multitude of blessings and that we will only have access to them when he will die. Even Jesus talked about it when he spoke of wealth found in the house of a strong man. He said: "Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house"(Matt 12: 29). Here the strong man is the devil that keeps our blessings and the only way to have them is to bind him and enter his house and spoil his goods which are actually our goods. Binding him is good but I’d rather cut his head as David did. The devil must be beaten and defeated until he moves away from us as it is written in James 4: 7: "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you”
As I often say, most of the Christians are passive but there is one thing you must not ignore: If you do not resist the devil, he will know how to enter in your life and you will be deprived of many blessings that belong to you. Nevertheless, you should consider the fact that it may take time to get there.
