The life partner (Part 7)
I finished the sixth teaching by particularly talking to Christian saved girls. I said that love feelings can cause you to take the wrong decision and therefore, you must pray to know the will of God before you get carried away by feelings. Marriage should not be based on emotions or feelings of love but the real foundation must be the Word of God. If you are born again and engaged while God still did not say anything about your relationship, I advise you to pause and seek the mind of God before it is too late. When God will confirm to you, you will be able to start over and continue the relationship that will lead to marriage but IF God said nothing, wait in prayer! If God shows you that he/she is not the person in accordance with His plan, it's time to BREAK UP for your good.
Back to the marriage of Isaac and Rebecca; we saw that Abraham sent his servant to find a woman to his son in his country, his homeland. To better understand the story, you need to read the whole chapter 24 of Genesis. Abraham's servant was skeptical because he did not understand how a girl who did not know him could follow him but read Abraham's response: " The Lord, the God of heaven, who brought me out of my father’s household and my native land and who spoke to me and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your offspring I will give this land’—he will send his angel before you so that you can get a wife for my son from there "(Genesis 24: 7)
You notice that Abraham relied heavily on the promise of God and he ends by saying that it is God Himself who will send his angel before his servant to get a wife for his son. Here I will encourage unmarried born again who want to marry to pray by fully trusting the Lord because through their prayers God sends an angel to guide them to the person according to the divine plan. Prayer breaks Satan's plan and allows the fulfillment of God's plan but during the prayer the heart must be bent to the will of God and not to personal preferences.
Many young people often ask me whether we should not love before marrying someone? My answer is always the same: If God wants you marry someone, He Himself will give you the love you need, but sometimes it is necessary to be obedient. I have a friend who had no feelings for the man who wanted to marry her but after a period of prayer, God confirmed and great love naturally filled her heart. Today they are married and have a child. Do not follow your feelings but follow the voice of God. We will see that Rebecca loved Isaac although she had never seen him before.
In Part 8, we will see how God confirmed that Rebecca was the chosen one.

Le partenaire pour la vie (7e partie)
J’ai terminé la sixième partie en m’adressant particulièrement aux filles chrétiennes sauvées. J’ai dit que les sentiments amoureux peuvent vous pousser à prendre la mauvaise décision et par conséquent, il faut prier pour connaître la volonté de Dieu avant de vous laisser emporter par les sentiments. Le mariage ne doit pas être fondé sur les émotions ou les sentiments amoureux mais la véritable fondation doit être la Parole de Dieu. Si tu es né de nouveau et fiancé alors que Dieu n’a encore rien dit de ta relation, je te conseille de faire une pause et chercher la pensée de Dieu avant qu’il ne soit trop tard. Quand Dieu te confirmera, tu pourras reprendre et continuer la relation qui aboutira au mariage mais SI Dieu ne dit rien, attends dans la prière ! Si Dieu te montre que ce n’est pas la personne conformément à son plan, c’est le moment de ROMPRE pour ton bien.
Retournons au mariage d’Isaac et de Rebecca ; On a vu qu’Abraham a envoyé son serviteur pour chercher la femme pour son fils dans son pays, sa patrie. Pour mieux comprendre l’histoire, il faudra lire tout le chapitre 24 de Genèse. Le serviteur d’Abraham était sceptique car il ne comprenait pas comment une fille qui ne le connaissait pas pouvait le suivre mais lisez la réponse d’Abraham : « L'Éternel, le Dieu du ciel, qui m'a fait sortir de la maison de mon père et de ma patrie, qui m'a parlé et qui m'a juré, en disant: Je donnerai ce pays à ta postérité, lui-même enverra son ange devant toi; et c'est de là que tu prendras une femme pour mon fils » (Genèse 24 :7)
Vous remarquez qu’Abraham s’est beaucoup appuyé sur la promesse de Dieu et il termine en disant que c’est Dieu Lui-même qui enverra son ange devant son serviteur afin de prendre une femme pour son fils. Ici je vais encourager les célibataires nés de nouveau qui veulent se marier à prier en faisant entièrement confiance au Seigneur car à travers leurs prières Dieu envoie un ange pour les guider vers la personne selon le plan divin. La prière brise le plan de Satan et permet l’accomplissement du plan de Dieu mais pendant la prière le cœur doit être penché à la volonté de Dieu et non aux préférences personnels.
Beaucoup de jeunes me posent souvent la question de savoir si on ne devrait pas aimer avant d’épouser quelqu’un ? Ma réponse est toujours la même : Si Dieu veut que tu épouses quelqu’un, Il te donnera Lui-même l’amour qu’il faut mais parfois il faut d’abord être obéissant. J’ai une amie qui n’avait pas de sentiments pour l’homme qui voulait l’épouser mais après une période de prière, Dieu a confirmé et un grand amour a naturellement rempli son cœur. Aujourd’hui ils sont mariés et ont un enfant. Ne suivez pas vos sentiments mais suivez la voix de Dieu. On verra que Rebecca a aimé Isaac alors qu’elle ne l’avait jamais vu avant.
Dans la huitième partie, on verra comment Dieu a confirmé que Rebecca était l’heureuse élue.
